Site Audit
Enter a domain to crawl its sitemap.xml and audit every page found. Get SEO scores across your entire website in one go.
What Is a Site Audit?
A site audit is a comprehensive analysis of every page on your website. Instead of checking one URL at a time, the site audit discovers all your pages and runs 30+ on-page SEO checks on each one. The result is a complete picture of your website's SEO health with average scores, worst-performing pages, and common issues.
How RankNibbler Discovers Your Pages
RankNibbler uses a three-step discovery process:
- Sitemap.xml — checks common paths: /sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml, /feeds/sitemap.xml, /wp-sitemap.xml
- Robots.txt — if no sitemap found, checks robots.txt for a Sitemap directive
- Homepage crawl — if no sitemap exists, crawls the homepage for internal links as fallback
What Gets Checked on Each Page
Every page is scored out of 100: title tag, meta description, H1/H2 headings, canonical URL, robots directives, word count, text-to-HTML ratio, image alt text, HTTPS, viewport, lang, favicon, Open Graph, and structured data. Click Details on any result for the full breakdown.
Common Issues Found in Site Audits
| Issue | Impact |
|---|---|
| Missing meta descriptions | Google generates its own snippet, often poorly |
| Duplicate title tags | Search engines confused about which page to rank |
| Missing H1 tags | No clear main heading for search engines |
| No structured data | Missing rich results in Google |
| Missing alt text | Poor accessibility, missed image search traffic |
